Starting the Daggerheart Campaign with the kids at the school club today. When we discussed a campaign frame they said they just wanted to roam around and kill monsters. So this is what we came up with

Fifty years ago, the evil Vampire Lord Magnus von Carstein and his cadre of Red Wizards opened the Black Gate, a portal to the netherworlds, and unleashed the Blood Tide a horde of monsters that swept through the Five Kingdoms. The Vampire Lord and his minions were beaten back five years ago by a band of heroes - the Sisterhood of the Thom- and sealed in Castle Carstein in the mountains above the Borgo Pass. But still the Blood Tide stalks the land, and the Five Kingdoms call on heroes to cleanse the land of the monsters that terrorise everyday folk

And there still three of the Red Wizards unaccounted for. Are they planning to free their Dark Master, or perhaps seize power for themselves?
