I'm watching a video on modern bot farms and dead internet theory, and I know this is the wrong to focus on, but why are they using physical cell phones for it? I always figured it was just some server farm or something, but they're using actual cell phones. Like, why? That feels inefficient.

I'm not so much ashamed of being a furry so much as growing up in the 90s, anything that was not mainstream milquetoast was viciously mocked and derided. You could be a trekkie, the most mainstream nerdery and that was grounds for harassment. And if you complained, you were told to fit in better.
