Working in the corpo world, I will say this... Corpos don't care that it's plagiarizing. They just want to do what they want and they want to force you to use it for the perception of "good" and "fast" and, most bizarrely wrong, "low cost". Stupid times we live in.

Mexico’s fight for independence is the triumph of a people determined to shape their own future. Today, I was proud to be the first New York City Mayor to march in Sunset Park’s Mexican Independence Day Parade alongside a community that has fostered cultural pride across generations.

English-language hate accounts are insinuating a fire at the reception facility of a sub-temple of Kodai-ji, a Buddhist temple in Kyoto, was set by Muslims. The facts: the cause of the fire is undetermined & Muslims aren't suspects in any of 2026's shrine/temple fires.

We went "site-seeing" in the Bronx!   New York is home to 100 city-owned sites that our administration is turning into 50,000+ affordable homes.    On a double-decker tour bus in the Bronx, we explored a few of the sites that many New Yorkers will soon call home.

Peaceful protest branded as "civil terrorism," brought to you by the Manhattan Institute. www.wired.com/story/the-ma...
“Today’s left-wing agitators deploy random acts of lawlessness designed to inconvenience and disrupt as many civilians as possible, hoping to pressure them to get the government to change course. This tactic is reasonably described as a form of terrorism, though the activists aren’t murderous like al-Qaida or Hamas—they don’t use guns, bombs, or threats of unpredictable bloodshed. Instead, they engage in civil terrorism,” wrote Manhattan Institute legal policy fellow Tal Fortgang, a recent New York University law graduate who lambasted students protesting against Israel’s war on Gaza for “Jew hatred.”

When playing Donkey Kong Country Returns, you may notice that Donkey Kong never clips through platforms even when he logically should. The secret is that Donkey Kong does not actually exist on the same plane of reality as the rest of the game, and is merely superimposed on top of it.
In a platformer with 3D models but a 2D plane of movement, a semisolid platform is usually something the player must clip through when jumping on it. While a fully 2D platformer can just draw the character in front of it, in a 3D platformer both the character and the platform occupy the same space.
However, in Donkey Kong Country Returns, Donkey Kong somehow never visibly clips through anything. Note how he jumps up seemingly in front
of the flower, but ends up in the middle of it? How did he not clip through it on the way up?
The secret is that Donkey Kong does not actually exist on the same plane of reality as the rest of the game. His model is rendered with a separate camera and a 2D image of him is superimposed onto the game world. This allows him (and Diddy Kong) to be drawn over semisolid platforms as he jumps in front of them. For special occasions like death, he does enter the 3D plane.
This illustration from a patent application for this game shows what is happening. Being 2D allows Donkey Kong to simply be drawn in front of the platform.

It is possible that Mr. E, the eponymous mysterious book from Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, is inspired at least partially by the Voynich Manuscript, a famous medieval book that seems to describe unindentifiable wondrous flora in a completely incomprehensible language.
In Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, Mr. E (the eponymous mysterious book) is an encyclopedia on flora and fauna, most of which seem to only exist inside of him and not be based on preexisting Yoshi's Island species.
Each of his pages is one or more illustrations, surrounded by blocks of unreadable text. The text appears everywhere inside the game world as well, and seems indecipherable on purpose.
The Voynich Manuscript is a mysterious book from the 15th century, most of which is seemingly an encyclopedia on various wondrous flora, none of which has ever been identified conclusively and is believed to be at least partially fictional.
In addition, the text is written in a unknown language that has eluded decryption ever since the discovery of the manuscript, making the entire book incomprehensible. Note the circle and hook/loop aesthetic appearing both in Mr. E and the manuscript.

This is 100% true and it's a reason leftists and anarchists are so anti cop. They are genuinely a threat to democratic governance in authoritarian regimes. The NYPD is a hostile occupying force that kidnapped De Blasios daughter and doxed her. He did nothing about it.
