-NIGHT-WING- The smallest of Skull Island's Pterosaurs, this Anurognathid is still big enough to be ridden by the skull islanders, who domesticated it and have since used it to go through their island's most dangerous enviroments. sky races are a common pastime among Night-Wing riders.

-LEAF-WING- A Dimorphodontid commonly found in the woods of skull island. Their horn is used to drill into logs in search of food and scales from it are said to bring good luck according to the skull islanders, who often use them as lucky charms.

-VULTUROSAURUS- A nocturnal Rhamphorhynchid, while they sometimes still feed on fish their diet has mostly moved towords feeding on kaiju carcasses inland. Their bright red belly warns predators of their poisonous skin, though some arachnid kaiju have developed an immunity to their poison.

-SCISSOR-HEAD- A Rhamphorhynchid that has evolved to be a semi-acquatic hunter in Skull Island's rivers and swamps. Over millions of years it lost the ability to fly, instead using its wings as penguin-like flippers which it uses to chase prey.

-PARAPTERANODON- An Anhanguerid who hunts for giant sea animals in the oceans near Skull Island. They tend to nest on top of cliffs where they often fight for space, the losing pterosaur is often forced to move to the island's mountains where it becomes easy prey for the predators living there.

Received a letter from the University of Hong Kong, I’ll be starting my studies as a science undergrad this September (where I’ll hopefully major in ecology soon). Here’s a katydid, which I’ve mentioned in my interview as one of the overlooked insect fauna here which I hope to understand. 👁️

A bright green bush cricket/katydid with large, leaf-like wings, covering its body besides the head and limbs. The wingtips of the insect incline upwards, making it look much like a leaf from the side. and its wings have 2 small brown patches on it.
