I wonder if there's some guy who hates the Reiwa era because he thinks it's slop trying to copy Hollywood for using CGI instead of suits

Ambush! During a warm sunrise on eocene Europe a large Iberosuchus surprises a duo of small Lophiodontid mammals Painted here in the moment the croc uses the inertia of the attack and strong neck muscles to raise the creature up, before crashing it down on the soil to subdue it

I hate to do this, but anything you could spare would make a big difference for me + my family. My next pay is two weeks away and that paycheck is only going to be a quarter of what it usually is. Student loans + groceries are going to eat up most of that almost immediately. ko-fi.com/sophiesaurus

Dinosaur wise yeah Oak Street is kind of a mess but I'm so glad it's not reheating the Vastatosaurus' nachos I let it slide. Sure, furry sauropods, why not. Fuck it we ball

The Crocodile DLC for JWE looks great but I think I'm more pissed about the resold animals taking slots that could have gone to Dakosaurus and Metriorhynchus that the scummy reselling itself.

I've been seeing a lot of projects about reintroducing bison and other large herbivores around Europe for rewilding and the idea has merit for sure but uh. Are they planning to follow that up with wolves to control the population? Are the locals aware of that step??

2112

Jojira @gojisaurus.bsky.social · 31/07/2026

I really need Pleistocene documentaries to actively involve modern day animals into them. The Surviving Earth dire wolves were literally just normal wolves made with CGI, they made no effort to actually represent Aenocyon. They just wanted something that sounded prehistoric.

192

Jojira @gojisaurus.bsky.social · 31/07/2026

tbh the funniest part of the last Surviving Earth episode is they also animated the animals pretty dramatically like the dinosaurs but you can tell it's wrong because that's just a normal ass wolf. Yeah man I'm sure wolves menacingly growl at deer when hunting

Screenshot of Surviving Earth showing a dire wolf slowly walking up to the camera in the underbrush of a forest, visibly growling and with its ears pinned back
