The Facial Expressions of Tethys by artist Julius von Bismarck. A suspended high-sea buoy that moves in real time. Sensors on a twin buoy out in the Atlantic Ocean send live satellite data to motors inside the museum. This makes the indoor buoy copy the exact, real-time movements of the ocean waves.

I hate going to museums/galleries where I can’t figure out what the intended purpose is behind a piece (especially when it’s technical) until I pull out my phone and look it up. Then I’m left on my phone instead of unplugged as intended. For beginners this is integral for welcoming them in.

Imagine if, instead of regulating drones (which we did!), we instead decided to let drone companies self-regulate, and ALSO dedicated tons of money and time to "problems" like "what if, in 1000 years, hyper-intelligent dogs learn to fly drones into mailmen." This is what we are doing with AI.

One of the things I know about writing is this: spend it all, shoot it, play it, lose it, all, right away, every time. Do not hoard what seems good for a later place in the book or for another book; give it, give it all, give it now. The impulse to save something good for a better place later is the signal to spend it now. Something more will arise for later, something better. These things fill from behind, from beneath, like well water. Similarly, the impulse to keep to yourself what you have learned is not only shameful, it is destructive. Anything you do not give freely and abundantly becomes lost to you. You open your safe and find ashes.

Driftless Cheese (Natural) from Hidden Springs Creamery Soft Wisconsin 🐑🧀. No aroma, but an overpowering grassy flavor that borders offensive; this appears to be unlike any descriptions, so must be a bad batch. The texture is very smooth and soft. Comes in several flavors which must be better.
Unflavored Driftless Cheese as purchased in white plastic container, opened. It is a very light straw color and appears soft.
