The most insane film ever. I have no idea why Larisa Shepitko was chosen as director (she didn't make these sorts of movies). I don't know why it was greenlit. I don't know any Russian. I love it. This excerpt is basically what the whole movie is like, except also with '60s European music videos.

I'm apparently from Washington, D.C. Which is weird, because I spent my first 26 years of life in Bloomington, Indiana.

I bought some non-prescription ointment because I keep getting UK drought nosebleeds. The ointment was in a box. Inside was a tub wrapped in hard plastic. The lid was sealed with tape. The inside was sealed again with a paper top with foil on the other side that I had to pull off.
