What are the current best ways to visually map/display one's collaborators? I'm giving a review talk and would like something more visually interesting and appropriately recognizing people than lists of names or some of the circle and lines diagrams I can think of.

Interesting tidbit from today's briefing at the Outer Planets Assessment Group (OPAG) meeting by NASA planetary leadership: NASA is considering *two* flagships for flight—one to Uranus, the other to orbit and land on Enceladus. Both were Decadal priorities—but in series, not one over the other.

It’s me! I got the ball rolling a year ago. Tim McCoy was instrumental and Allison McGraw helped. We got two asteroids named, thanks to discoverer Bobby Bus: (14330) Tomlehrer and (14331) Alyankovic. Two of my musical heroes, as you can tell from the citations I wrote.

The imposing Callanish Stones stand talk with their shadows spanning out across the glass. It's a super clear sky, but looks cold. Above the central stone is a strange figure-of-8 shape of dots. This is the location of the Sun, at noon, on various different days across the year.

LPL's Catalina Sky Survey @catalinaskysurvey.bsky.social discovered a small asteroid shortly before it impacted Australia yesterday.
A small natural object 1.5-5 feet (0.5-1.5m) is predicted to impact Earth’s atmosphere just northwest of Australia and safely disintegrate today, Sept. 6, 12:14 p.m. EDT. While not a hazard, scenarios like this provide an invaluable test of our planetary defense capabilities to monitor for larger objects and predict impact threats. The object was first reported to the Minor Planet Center by the Catalina Sky Survey, with earlier detections by Pan-STARRS, and the Center for Near-Earth Object Studies @NASAJPL calculated its trajectory and impact location - all funded by NASA's Planetary Defense Coordination Office.

This is only the 13th small object that has been detected in space prior to impact, most from @NASA’s routine planetary defense monitoring.
