I keep seeing this "take #transit to Fleet Week" marketing. In 1999 it was #FleetWeek and I had to get out of the ferry line at Pier 41 because the jet noise was unbearable. I think there should be "get out of town" marketing for Fleet Week. (Except for the ferries and bridge buses, I guess.) #sfba

As many of you are aware, ve been navigating one of the most challenging periods of my day while waiting for dinner.
Facing baseless federal hunger brought on by not eating since lunch, fighting for the working kids of this country, and now caring for a mean toddler and helping him grow up in a world that isn't always easy. But it has also reminded me exactly why I do this work and who I do it for.
I will never stop working to eat dinner. I will never stop fighting for what is right, even when there is also some feta in the fridge. And I will never stop being so very thankful that you are by my side in this important work and that there is tahini in the pantry for dressing

Re: nostalgia for one's youth. Coming to San Jose from the beach in the early 1990s, you'd always hit this wall of smelly pollution. It's not perfect now but it's so much better. I miss CO₂ levels, parenting without Internet fears, and slightly less horrible Republicans. All else is better now.

Pretty clear to me there’s a very good case against this man for mass murder, and I’m saying that in as measured a fashion as I can. He’s order the killing of 234 people under no plausible war or legal justification. I am skeptical he will ever face legal accountability for til his but he should.

Cathie Wood predicts robotaxis "are going to destroy the auto market." I doubt it. Surveys show that most people want to own an AV, not hail rides through a fleet. That makes sense: A robotaxi can't store your stuff for a few days or reinforce your identity with its design/color/stickers/etc.
