A quick study in advance of this week's class. I'm giving the class a palette with just the 3 primary colors - red, blue and yellow - and they'll have to mix all the other colors themselves. So I did this pitbull with just the colors they will use.

You want canonically appropriate ALT text? You get canonically appropriate ALT text. You're right. This is a lot better without the humor. But wait! Oh no! Seems I don't have to do this just because you said so! I'm so sorry! How about I continue writing the text I want and you go on and block me?
A close-up portrait of a fluffy, medium-sized dog photographed from the side, with the head turned to the left of the frame and tilted slightly upward. The dog looks up and away from the camera with a calm, attentive, serious expression. The picture is taken in low, warm evening light. The light comes from the right and from the front, so the fur on the face, chest and ears glows in shades of copper, orange and rose. The background is a blurred meadow. Tall, dry grass fills the upper two thirds of the background in pale gold and peach tones. Fresh green grass fills the lower left corner. A dark, blurred line of trees runs along the very top edge. The dog's face is long and narrow, with a pointed snout. The nose is black, glossy and slightly damp, and it sits at the far left of the picture. The muzzle is dark charcoal on top. Along the sides of the muzzle and under the chin the fur turns light gray to white. The mouth is closed, and a thin dark line shows where the lips meet. The eye on the visible side is round and deep chestnut brown, almost red-brown in this light, with a small bright reflection in it. Pale gray and cream hairs ring the eye like light eyebrows. Two pointed, upright ears stand on top of the head. The outer parts are dark brown to black. The inner edges are rimmed with long, light hairs that glow orange-pink where the sun hits them. The ear on the right of the picture is taller and closer to the camera. The ear on the left is smaller and further back. The coat is thick, long and slightly wavy. On the head and cheeks the hairs are a mix of dark brown, black and rust. The ruff around the neck and chest is lighter, with cream, beige and pale apricot hairs that curl loosely and look soft and fluffy. Toward the right of the picture and down the back, the fur is much darker, charcoal gray and black, with rust-colored tips wherever the light catches the hairs. The dog sits upright. Only the head, neck, chest and shoulder are visible.

There are a few things I am solidly Gen-X about, though, like follow up note to say you are still interested in the job after the interview and giving me any info that you forgot to tell me, or I forgot to ask, and being on time to an interview, not being high. But everything else is whatever.

Kai, I suspect we're about the same age, and for the last 20+ years I've been hiring and firing people in the (environmental) non profit world. If you show up with a Deer Park water to an interview with an organization that works on reducing single use/plastic pollution, you're not getting the job.

A front yard, in the suburbs, with three distinct (ish) inflatable yard decorations. One is a fox on a stump with a hedgehog holding a mushroom. The middle one is three pumpkins that are shaped like corgi heads, the third is a black cat wearing a witchy hat, on top of a complaining ghost, who is sitting on a jack o lantern that looks super high.

ok I'm late with October's rabbit graphic but hopefully, you all are set with your rabbits for tonight/tomorrow!
An AI slop of a graphic of three rabbits wearing jack-o-lanterns, in a creepy wood, howling at a full moon which is also a jack-o-lantern. The text says: Rabbit Rabbit Rabbit, and at the bottom there's a Noah Kahan Lyric from Oribiter: "I'm an astronaut, you're the mooooooooooooon"

So, to recap: we say Rabbit Rabbit Rabbit as the first thing out of our mouths any time after midnight on October 1 for good luck all month. And we are reminded that sometimes our rabbits help someone else, across the globe and we hope someday that their rabbits will help us.

Here's what I do, I wake up almost every single night, around 2 am, and I say my rabbits then. I go back to sleep. Then when I wake up for real around 6:30, I say them again, but a little louder.
