Someone on tumblr asked if there was a reason her name is Hat (no, not really)

I am having a hard time with art lately, which is hard to admit as someone who does it for a living. I've been looking for part time work outside of art this last month in the hopes I could secure a paycheck before rent was due, but that gamble didn't work out.

Another bizarre older lady encounter, in the pharmacy line this time. She walked RIGHT up on me, standing so close that she was brushing my arm. I stepped away, she followed. TWICE. So I turned around and said "hi!" Her eyes went SUPER wide and she backed up and hurriedly looked at her phone.

Had surprise non-emergency maintenance with less than four hours notice today, and pretty pissed about it. I could have turned the maintenance guy away to spite the property manager who scheduled it, I didn't want to waste HIS time as well.

Yeah, I'm still staunchly in the "wear mask in public indoor settings" camp. I'm still protecting myself and my disabled husband, because COVID isn't gone. It genuinely sucks socially sometimes, but our health and lives matter more.
