It's not really a secret... that I like Animorphs. I even did 30 days of Animorphs aliens and I could have done another 30 more! Even been a fan for exactly 30 years now. That's a pretty huge part of my life. Given up on being affiliated with Animorphs officially, but I'm always gunna be an Anifan😌

The worst part of my job is getting an inbox full of adorable fuzzy faces to paint! 😭😭😭 Whatever you do, don’t commission me to paint your sweet fuzzy babies, they’re so cute I could die!!! (Link’s in bio lol)

It’s not just surface level… it’s THAT look, THAT attitude, THAT demeanour. I have a knack for picking that out, even from just one photo and pulling it into my art. You can feel it too, right? If you’re interested in having your pet’s inner soul made for all to see, check the link in my bio ♥️

Never let it be said that Aspa isn’t a girl’s girl. She left .02 seconds for that lioness to GET OUT 🤬 If you want more Golden Troupe animatics, animations and mini movies like this, membership is what helps me carve out that time. You can join the Troupe at my profile.

So I kinda came up with an... idea: Pay What You Want Commissions - ko-fi.com/c/715fff921a It's a little out there, maybe, but I figure it could be a neat experiment of sorts. The concept is that you pay what you want, $10 minimum. Effectively, commissions on a "sliding scale" :)

It’s been a… decade. I’ve travelled, loved (but mostly lost), then ended up right where I started. Somehow, I also managed to make a book about another chaotic time. If you put in enormous effort, only for it to go unnoticed… then you need to get this book. Link’s on my profile. Thanks for looking ♥️

Somehow everyone in the Troupe last month won in a 3 way even split… except Qui. But don’t worry. He’s not a sore loser and takes the loss with all the grace you’d expect from a hound of the royal courts 😅 If you want Qui to win, maybe just this once, then cast your vote by signing up at Troupe HQ!

This isn’t about you. It’s about me. 8 months condensed into 1 minute. I ask for help plenty. Even when I scream, no one hears. I have to fucking save myself. Always. Maybe we should all start by saving ourselves. Then we might actually have room enough for someone else.

At 41, I wish my life amounted to anything. I wish I had a loving relationship, a beautiful home, a thriving career... but I don’t have any of those things. I thought I did, but not anymore. I’m real messed up right now over being such a monumental failure despite trying so incredibly hard not to be

I didn’t assume this was going to be easy, but I didn’t expect to break down crying 1 min into packing everything to leave. This space meant so much to me in the very short time I had it. It represented the beginning of my art career- instead of just my art hobby that always just cost me money 😔

"If you love them let them go.” It doesn’t matter what you would do for someone if they’d die because you did it. Clasping your hands tightly around a bird might keep it safe from a hawk, but then it would have no air. Which is the bigger threat?

031

Char Reed | Animal Webcomic | The Golden Troupe @charreedart.bsky.social · 25/02/2026

I got a part time job painting. The more I do in a week, the more money I make. I’ve only been doing it for a week and I’m trying desperately to get down to an hour to finish a 6x6” canvas. It’s been taking 3-6 hours/painting. BUT! Today I got one done with a new technique in an hour and a half!!!
