Yes every woman has been harassed, many assaulted. But every woman has also experienced invisible loss from moments she avoided harassment. She felt a space becoming unsafe, so she left, while men stayed on. And in leaving, she lost: opportunities, experiences, learning, promotions, even simply fun.

Don’t get me wrong: I’d love to see positive, radical change in this moribund country—this is my home. But that’s also why I have little faith that it’ll happen. The past is prologue, and for most of my life, the only politics allowed has been a competition between different models of decline.

Unlike Section 28, these rules are spread across a myriad of documents, which will make it harder for LGBTQIA+ groups to fight to overturn their harmful impacts Read our full analysis 👇
Section 28 2.0 begins
Children in England are back at school, in a new era of strict rules on what teachers can say about LGBTQIA+ identities.
Schools have begun implementing guidance and curricula which require them to segregate Trans+ pupils, while teachers are banned from “encouraging” pupils from ‘questioning their gender’. Many view the new rules as directly parallel to Section 28, the now-revoked law that banned schools and local authorities from “promoting” gay identities until 2003.

The Israel & Russia issue is not complicated. You either oppose atrocities regardless of who commits them, or you don’t. Everything else is noise. We don’t need protestors, zealots, influencers, celebs, or anyone to tell us what international law says or what is right and wrong.

The balaclava blackshirted thugs are a result of a decade of politicians, tabloids and the broadcast media telling racists they have "legitimate concerns." The normalisation of actual fascism rhetoric and action has led to this and is a far greater "legitimate concern" than any migrant on a boat.

Labour rescued Britain and restored sensible, grown-up politics, by which we mean people with zero principles or ideology, enacting policies virtually none of their own base support, for the benefit of a segment of the electorate trained to hate them viscerally and spurn their every indulgence.

How having a disability became cool
Young women, nicknamed ‘sickfluencers’, are turning chronic illness into a lifestyle trend and entrenching a culture of economic inactivity

Young women are also more likely to get caught up in “social contagion” – the spontaneous spread of behaviours or emotions previously observed by sociologists in “outbreaks” of bulimia, self-harm and transgender ideology. What may have otherwise been transitory feelings are seized upon and obsessed over until they form a central pillar of a person’s identity. A chronic-illness influencer won’t want to get “better” any more than a female-bodied transgender person would want to re-identify with their sex.
