Rodger Sherman @rodger.bsky.social · 06/01/2026hold up is there just no penalty for committing any sort of foul on a returned interception/blocked kick in overtime?????? like how would they enforce it? the ref just said "by rule the penalty is declined" 2926819
pgreenkc.bsky.social @pgreenkc.bsky.social · 06/01/2026Fouls on try down after change of possession - only enforceable penalties are unsportsmanlike, dead ball personal foul, sideline interference, flagrant personal fouls 100
Chao Slord @chaoslord.bsky.social · 06/01/2026HS game this year, 4Q ends, unsportsmanlike on the field, got enforced at the start of OT lmao 000

Michael Citro @mike36fan.bsky.social · 06/01/2026Give the team the 15 yards and an untimed down to run the infinite lateral play and don't count it against their next OT possession? Not sure what you actually do there that doesn't somehow make things worse, short of enforcing it on the ensuing possession, which is certainly a huge advantage. 000
JC Lopez @jchlopez.bsky.social · 06/01/2026Would love if guys could run off the bench, for both sides ideally. 000
heyitsty3.bsky.social @heyitsty3.bsky.social · 06/01/2026I had a question about NFL OT and couldn’t get a clear answer. Team A gets the ball first and gets a FG. Team B throws an interception. Team B then forces a fumble during the interception return and recovers it. In normal play, i know Team B gets a first down. Is the game over if it’s in OT? 000

John @johnwwool.bsky.social · 06/01/2026If they don’t decline it, I imagine they get another shot at the try. 000
seattlekim @seattlekim.bsky.social · 06/01/2026Seems like a gap in the OT rules, right? Plus that kid who got his neck cranked could have gotten seriously injured. 2140
badgerhokie.bsky.social @badgerhokie.bsky.social · 06/01/2026Yeah I don't get this because in the ACCCG UVa got flagged for roughing the passer on Duke's TD pass in OT and it was enforced to start UVa's possession (a devastating penalty). Was that just because it happened on a regular scrimmage play and not on a conversion attempt?! 100

jsmayer181.bsky.social @jsmayer181.bsky.social · 06/01/2026Gotta be able to enforce that on the ensuing possession, right? 020
Robert Baker @kerba1123.bsky.social · 06/01/2026Rule 8-3-4a, fouls after change of possession are declined by rule except for a handful of edge cases (of which facemask penalties are not one) 030
Brandon @brandonpdx.bsky.social · 06/01/2026It’s a live ball penalty so the enforcement would be a replay of the down. Does seem like a loophole in the rule 170
Boo!-per Lund @cooperlund.online · 06/01/2026The Refs said it’s okay to go for the face if things get weird 0300

RefDawg @refdawg.bsky.social · 06/01/2026The rule is that the penalty can't be enforced on the next series since it's a whole new possession and series of downs. The only penalty that would carry over is UNS 2100
