Yusuf had earlier told BBC Breakfast that Reform had "modelled a total of £2bn a year for this programme". This is just a totally absurd number - by an enormous factor - for what is proposed, and neither the reader nor the journalist appears to know that.

The biggest issue I've had with the BBC for a long time now is that they present politics & political arguments in the abstract. The complete failure to provide any kind of factual framework within which to place these arguments leaves people incapable of critically assessing them.
