I can hear the theme song. Totally not a different babies song with one word changed. Not at all.

Sorry, it was me. I told them they could just send it to me personally, and they don't have to show it to everybody, but they went on and on about "we have to make our money back... we have to pay the crew" blah blah blah. I will try not to manifest any more highly specific revivals. Promise.

I love her wrinkles in this. AFAICT, it's just makeup, not her natural face. But I love watching her age onscreen and at the same time you have the teenage girl awkwardly navigating makeup, and the cruelty of school life. It's basically the two sides of my experience - second puberty, aging woman.

Last night was the lowest I have been in years. That kind of inner-darkness I had not been in touch with since I was an alcoholic. I am going to keep moving. I am going to cry through it, because this bullshit is made to be impossible for us, but I am going to try and cry through it.

After episode 2, I feel significantly better about the show. I won't keep reacting like this to every ep. At least I don't think. Had me saying, "Yeah, girl. FUCK HIM UP."

Got the rest of my clothing stuff at my box today on break, and did a nonzero amount of wondering, "Could I use my storage space to try them on?" (Not close to my house. Just excited to seen if they fit).

Assholes, People at or around Elon's level get to do drugs and have gay sex while it becomes illegal for the rest of us. That's how it works, how it's always worked. When you thought that getting weed legalized or gay marriage legal was the endgame, you ceded the keys to their undoing

Zooey Wants to Enjoy Halloween for the First Time Ever @zooey.northsky.social · 15/10/2026

Mass is trying to recriminalize weed? Can't say I'm surprised. Great job, white faux-hippie fucks. Did you really think that legalization of drugs was compatible with being a piece of shit on every other issue? Did you really think that would last?

You humanized, or tried to humanize, Jason Voorhees - an undead representation of untimely death, conservative rage, or nothing at all. That has the potential to be even more offensive than making the dead disabled boy a braindead killer in the first place. We shall see.

It doesn't seem like the easter eggs, connections, or the kills will be what gives this show any saving grace. There certainly isn't much any dramatic strength. It will be entirely in spite of all that. It's gonna be on the new plots, new developments, and changes to Pam and Jason's stories.

It seems this showrunner got this on the success of Welcome to Derry. I haven't seen that show, but I know that the gap between Friday the 13th and IT is considerable. I think producers just look at this shit and go "oh, 80s horror franchise. Yup, pretty much the same thing."

Zooey Wants to Enjoy Halloween for the First Time Ever @zooey.northsky.social · 15/10/2026

First impressions from Episode 1 are not great. It does feel like it's *trying* to be campy, and that's almost never a good idea. I don't have high expectations for tv shows, but I guess I had higher expectations for something from a24. They may as well have not been involved at all.
