has anyone here watched "Ludwig"? T & I are watching the 1at season & enjoying it TREMENDOUSLY. What a romp! (With murder) I've loved Anna Maxwell Martin for a long time so it's DELIGHTFUL to get to watch her again. Also the theme music is based on a Beethoven sonata I've loved since I was a kid!

a friend shared a screenshot of an hr fic with me & it's been haunting me ever since... begging hr fic writers to understand how languages work. Ilya would ABSOLUTELY KNOW what the words "experiment" and "laboratory" are. Long English words =/= incomprehensible to foreigners! They're often THE SAME

I would just. Love. To not be, in some way, physically uncomfortable. I slept like shit. My arm hurts (COVID vax, so that's GOOD, but ALSO). My doctor won't fucking call me back. I am tired literally ALL OF THE TIME. I was in bed before 8pm last night, & exhausted since 6:30 for no reason. 🆘

On the one hand, I AM very much enjoying much of The Other Bennet Sister. On the other hand, the re-writing of characters is INCREDIBLY annoying. What, am I supposed to feel bad for Mr Collin’s now?! DO BE FUCKING SERIOUS

posted to tumblr & got an anon ask that I should have expected but still sucked to get! expect that, whenever you, as a Jew, post about antisemitism, some anonymous dickbag WILL come into your space & accuse you of “making it all about yourself.” which, like, I mean. I guess.

I really debated with myself on whether or not to post this, but it feels like the right thing to do. It scares me a bit but hey. Anyway…this has been heavily on my mind as of late.
You know... I may regret posting this. But this has been bothering me for a while, and I feel like I have to say something. Seeing people - both Jewish and not - dismiss the fears of many Jews over the pretty astronomical rise in antisemitism recently is incredibly frustrating because Jews are being attacked all over the world. Not just Israeli Jews (and we can certainly talk about whether it’s ever okay to attack people whose governments you’re angry with). All Jews. In Australia. In France. In the UK. Even, lately, in New York. Is it the Holocaust? No, and nobody is saying it is. But this is how it can start. So to sweep it under the rug and say you and other Jews you know aren’t worried - that’s YOUR experience. Some of us are, actually. And frustrated that, time and again, those worries are dismissed - by Jews or otherwise. I say this as a person who did not grow up in a safe place to be Jewish. Who was frequently disadvantaged for being Jewish. Whose family was persecuted for being Jewish, in very big and slightly smaller ways. What I’m saying is: I am coming from experience. Most American (or, at least, Northeastern) Jews haven’t experienced what I have - which is great. But I’m telling you: what I’m seeing is pretty alarming. And dismissing that as fear-mongering isn’t doing anybody any favors. Any antisemitic attacks must be taken seriously - just like any other attack on any other ethnicity or religious group or race or gender, etc etc. And the fact that none of these attacks seem to add up to “this is a serious problem” for people is, well, kind of a problem. Antisemitism has managed to thrive for centuries. And somehow, STILL, it’s considered less bad than other bad shit (and the whataboutism around it is simply wild these days). And I’m just curious…why. And how bad DOES it have to get for others to start seeing the pattern and getting concerned. And - the thing worrying me most - does this mean that people have literally truly stopped giving a shit because “antisemitism is bad…but is it THAT bad?” And Jewish people simply matter less? And I am…pretty damn tired.
