A little late but I’m working on a project of my own, The Geniverse, a sci-fiction/spec evo project following the seeded world of Eden #Spec-Evo

Emperor Drake (Magnatherius imperator)
One of the planet’s largest terrestrial predators, with high endurance and powerful jaws they’re highly capable predators of large armored herbivores.

Red-Fronted Rumblecorn (Pycnocephalus magnus)
A browsing herbivore with a brightly adorned head used in display and combat. The larger males act as protectors of their heads throwing themselves in danger’s direction to ensure the survival of the rest of their herd.

Crescent Cerabront (Tragoudibrontos campyloceratus)
One of Duoagros’ largest herbivores, with a nasty temperament and large size few dare hunt them. Thanks to their near meter long crest both males and females produce long lasting songs which can be heard from miles away.

Old rough head bust of an Aptonoth relative featured in the fangame side of Monster Hunter Isles.

Square head, robust hard beak, with a nasal horn protruding above the nares. Adorned with a axe like frill behind the head, mainly a display feature.

A smaller species of omnivorous pigbrush known as the Bogflock (𝖮𝗇𝗒𝖼𝗁𝗈𝖻𝖺𝗌𝗎𝗋𝖺 𝗇𝖺𝗎𝗌𝗂𝖺𝖿𝗅𝖺𝗍𝗎𝗌). A bipedal m, filamentous beaked reptilian creature with a fuzzy/brushy tail with some adorned specialized spines on the back. A brightly colored crest similar to looking at an eclipse, having huge strong claws & lean yet muscular hindlimbs. Best known for having a chemical spray & flatulence that’s primarily made of napalm.

The Calloused Beast (no binomials yet), a large highly territorial mammal native to the badlands of Cladochrone. Pictured is the average cow (foreground) & bull (background) of the species.

Current render of a Dragoneater in its ancient habitat with in non-flowering steppe in Cladochrone’s natural history. While much is still unknown, its appearance is strikingly close to the real animal in life from what we know.

AESL is my spec evo project which is a seed world in a far future where humans were able to bring back extinct species. A planet was used by humans for an experiment to observe the process of evolution with their own eyes. Modern days AESL takes place after 40-50 my after disappearence of humans.

The largest non-Vaguicruranidean, titan, drake on Eden, the jade titan was originally thought to be a true titan, although, with further research and proper genetic analysis, it was found they are a member of the giantopodidae family. Making jade titans closer to animals such as crescent crests and banded thorntails. Despite not being a true titan their sheer size is worthy enough of the name, with the largest individuals weighing up to 20 tons. Due to their gigantic size, they have zero predators in their native range. Being massive has its drawbacks, jade titans forgo living in herds like most of their relatives as food is hard to come by for a herd of massive herbivores.

My oldest critter from memory, dating to 2013. A terrestrial shark with a dexterous tongue for snagging prey

A derived Bivalve that swallows rocks and sediment to process into pearl like masses to regurgitate and use as long ranged defense

A giant colonial mass of bryozoans grown on top of eachother to reach heights rivaling the tallest skyscrapers

A hedgehog that inflates airsacks beneath its hide and raises its quills to discourage presators

Day 2-4 of Spectember using the Spec Council prompt, already behind but fuck it we ballin!

“Intimidate”: A nondescript mountain living crocodyliform tries to sneak up on an unsuspecting giant caterpillar. Little did she know she had unprovoked a mature individual of the same species; a “small” yet gigantic lepidopteran endemic exclusively to these strange highlands.

“Stone eater” While snagging a particular crag of Abyssal beryl from lush ore deposits of the inner Recess, a Doda, or juvenile Dodogama, has escaped with its necessary haul for potential consumption. Unfortunately, it had been spotted by a subadult Barnos who was surveying its mating territory mid-route. Luckily, a small thief wyvern like itself can suffice as potential mate lure…if you can catch it that is…

“Living Superstructure” A pair of saltwyrms relax after riding through strong waves and currents on their way home after a successful stormy hunting trip. However, they see a new visitor and begins to investigate. Covered in what seems to be 2 colonial bodies taking hold of a now deceased marine creature, they quickly back off from the sheer foreign sight of it. Unbeknownst to them, one touch from this “zombie” could had one of them end up as a new fungal body for these parasites.
