I’ve recently been trying to figure out if the town I was born in (Oradea) is part of Transylvania proper. I guess the answer is “kinda, sorta, sure, why not” since most maps have loose borders that sometimes encompass that particular town. But it doesn’t really matter because vampires aren’t real 🫠

Read about the Flydubai incident earlier as we were descending into LAX. Funny how anxiety works; I’m a nervous flier, but it didn’t register as anything extra I should have been worried about on my own flight. Had a relatively easy time getting to GA thankfully. (here briefly for a wedding)

Holei sea arch is apparently gone :( As of a few days ago. Was there not that long ago. Alas. Kilauea’s eruptions took on a different pattern too recently. I’ll be working near the park again in early October so I’m hope to see some lava

Every week at work brings new tiredness and frustrations, to the point where I only set aside energy to consume on my days off. So I’ll read, catch up on my backlog, or watch a show. I really need to build discipline to create more. But God this job eradicates all of my motivation and creativity

Permadeath never made sense to me in a game that’s so heavily reliant on RNG. You’re basically yielding to something completely outside your control, and inevitably going to lose time resetting to a bad outcome. I would totally be on board for it if it was all strictly predictable (like FEH)

Going back to older areas to run fates for Beastmaster in Gridania makes it eqsier to see why lush forests aren’t really a thing in the game. Every angle and distance that’s not 3 feet away from my character suffers from tree roots and leaves obstructing the camera
