A turtle doesn't know the plastic bag isn't a jellyfish. A bird doesn't know the fishing line is a trap. A crab doesn't know the tiny pieces of plastic surrounding it shouldn't be there. They didn't create this problem. We did.

When coral disappears, it isn’t just a beautiful underwater landscape that vanishes. Fish lose their homes. Coastlines lose natural protection from waves and storms. Millions of people who depend on reefs for food and livelihoods are put at risk. Entire ecosystems can begin to collapse.

Plastic doesn't simply disappear. It breaks down into smaller and smaller pieces, remaining in the environment for decades, centuries, or potentially longer. The ocean isn't a bin. And every piece of plastic we prevent from entering it is one less piece of our waste that wildlife has to deal with.

Earth is not an unlimited resource. It is not a product, a factory, or a disposable meal. We are not watching a natural disaster unfold. We are watching human decisions turn a living planet into a toxic recipe. The heat is already on. The question is: when will we turn it off?

Why do I wear an N95 mask? Bc Covid will happily destroy your immune system, more each time you get it. It can give you a whole new syndrome and/or awaken & worsen dormant viruses+syndromes. You do not want a mystery disease like my loved one has now. Our system does not know what to do with you.

If we're all a little autistic, why is the world so cruel to autistic people? The phrase "we're all a little autistic" doesn't just trivialise autistic struggles- it's often weaponised against us. Several followers have told me their psychologists even used the line to deny them a valid diagnosis.
Blue and red stick figures talking:
Red: "Aren’t we all technically on the autism spectrum somewhere?"
Blue: "Not really. If you take a chemistry test and score 0.1%, should you call yourself a chemist?"
Red: "But if the spectrum technically includes everyone, doesn’t that mean we’re all a little autistic?"
Blue: "No."
Red: "How do you know?"
Blue: "Mostly because if everyone were a little autistic, the world would be more accepting of autistic people."
Red: "...Oh."
Blue: "Yeah. We wouldn’t be having to fight for other people’s acceptance."

Current statistics suggest 30% of autistic adults are in employment, defined as at least 1 hour of paid work a week. A repeated theme I've found, interviewing autistic people, is burnout, breakdown & stepping back from work they love because it becomes impossible. It's a huge problem.

I killed a spider
Not a murderous brown recluse
Nor even a black widow
And if the truth were told this
Was only a small spider
Sort of papery spider
Who should have run
When I picked up the book
But she didn't
And she scared me
And I smashed her

I don't think
I'm allowed

To kill something

Because I am

Frightened.
