Glia don't just "support" neurons - they sculpt circuits. Sakers, Sheehan, Xin, Schafer & Eroglu review 25 years of evidence showing how astrocytes, microglia & oligodendrocytes actively orchestrate synapse formation, pruning & circuit maturation 🧠 www.cell.com/developmenta...

Stem cell-derived embryo models are imperfect, but @zernickagoetz.bsky.social & Sergio de la Rosa argue that's the point. When models stall or mispattern, they expose the signals, timing & tissue interactions essential for robust human and mouse development. 👉 www.cell.com/developmenta...

Glutathione accelerates the cell cycle and cellular reprogramming in plant regeneration
In this study, Lee et al. demonstrate how a metabolite released by tissue damage, glutathione, instructs cells to embark on the first step of regeneration. Glutathione activates fast cell cycles in damaged plant organs, leading cells to rapidly change their identity to restructure a new organ.
