Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is a life-threatening vascular disease closely associated with mitochondrial dysfunction and apoptosis. Here, we found that NDUFAF2 (NADH dehydrogenase (ubiquinone) 1 alpha subcomplex assembly factor 2) was significantly upregulated in cultured cells and murine AAA tissues. Knockdown of NDUFAF2 in vitro attenuated Ang II-induced mitochondrial fragmentation, reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, and apoptosis in vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs), while improving mitochondrial membrane potential and oxygen consumption rate.

Disruption of the retinal circadian rhythm is a common manifestation of various retinal diseases, characterized by abnormal expression of clock genes and impaired light signaling in intrinsically photosensitive retinal ganglion cells (ipRGCs). This review aims to elucidate the mechanisms of circadian disruption in retinal pathologies, explore the interrelationship between clock genes and ipRGCs, and delineate the therapeutic potential and directions of chronotherapy for retinopathies. Through a systematic retrieval and analysis of literature on retinal diseases and circadian rhythms from databases including PubMed and Web of Science, this review reveals that Rev-erbα and melanopsin form an antagonistic system within the retina, regulating the intraocular dopamine-melatonin rhythm and maintaining retinal homeostasis.

Sleep is essential for memory consolidation, and sleep loss has long been associated with cognitive impairment. However, the circuit-level mechanisms through which sleep deprivation disrupts hippocampal–prefrontal communication during learning remain poorly understood. Here, we combined a T-maze learning task with simultaneous local field potential (LFP) recordings in the ventral hippocampus (vHPC) and medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC) of rats. Using dynamic causal modeling (DCM), we quantified directional connectivity during task acquisition under normal and sleep-deprived conditions.

Bundle branch block (BBB) causes delayed and asynchronous ventricular activation. This study proposes an integrated framework that links biophysically interpretable magnetocardiography (MCG) features to ventricular electrophysiology using both simulations and clinical recordings. We performed whole-heart electrophysiological simulations to examine how conduction block alters ventricular depolarization and shapes QRS morphology in MCG. We then collected 32-channel OPM-MCG data from 416 subjects (203 BBB, 213 controls) and extracted two time-domain features—QRS width and QRS complexity—followed by logistic-regression classification.

Conventional treatment strategies are often hindered by limited tumor penetration, systemic toxicity, and the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. In recent years, nanorobots—engineered nanoscale devices with autonomous or guided navigation capabilities—have emerged as a transformative platform in precision oncology. These intelligent systems integrate active targeting, stimuli-responsive drug release, and multifunctional therapeutic modules, enabling dynamic interactions with the tumor milieu.

With the widespread use of electronic devices, electromagnetic radiation pollution has become increasingly severe, posing potential threats to human health and the ecological environment. This study successfully prepared a tough, adhesive, green, and multifunctional semi-interpenetrating network organic hydrogel using a three-step method, and enhanced its electromagnetic shielding performance by incorporating CNTs@ZIF-67 composite nanoparticles. An environmentally friendly semi-interpenetrating network organic hydrogel was constructed using polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and bio-based gelatin (Gel).

The extraction technology for rose anthocyanins is becoming increasingly sophisticated, and the activated carbon prepared from biological materials has abundant pores and strong chemical stability, low production cost, and can be recycled. Therefore, activated carbon was prepared from rose pomace to adsorb rose anthocyanins. The results show that the best static adsorption process parameters are RP-AC at 1.1 g, the crude extract concentration of anthocyanin at 30 mg/L, adsorption time of 20 h, pH=2; the best dynamic adsorption parameters are 1 mL/min and the sample concentration of 50 mg/L.
