A Democratic Senate Should Adopt Secret Impeachment Ballots on a Priority Basis
Such a change, requiring no constitutional amendment, would free senators to vote their judgment instead of their fears

This meme but with boobs
The “I made this” meme by Anthony Clark (aka Nedroid) showing a person with a hat handing a widget to a hatless person while saying, “I made this.” Hatless says, “You made this?” Before looking at it and declaring, “I made this.”

cyber mondays
8 panel comic

P1: A puddle of what may be blood on what looks to be a pavement, rendered grey-purple by the night

P2: a foot elwewring abrown shoe enters the frame and steps hard in the liquid, disturbing it--

P3: --before just as rapidly lifting output the puddle, exiting the frame, leaving ripples in its wake

P4: A wide Dutch angle shot, revealing a backlit silhouetted figure running from headlights. A dark and ominous city rises skyward in the distance

P5: we reveal the owner of the foot. It is a panicked and disheveled looking Jon Arbuckle. He is running forward, but looking back over his shoulder at some unseen pursuer, before--

P6: --BAM! He suddenly slams into a silhouetted figure

P7: POV is now over Jon's right shoulder. Sweat beads his face as he backs away from a playoon of Judge Dredd like police. The one in front clasps an electric baton on both gloved hands. A butnjng sting of blue crackles at its pronged tip.

The lead cop --all jaw and gristle-- scowls beneath a helmet shaped like a cartoon orange cat

P8: skyscrapers loom and dominate the red sky. Two of them have large signs with the apathetic face of The Cat. They both have captions which read "LOVE LASAGNE" and "HATE MONDAYS"

The Wayback Machine lets you travel through more than a trillion saved web pages. 🏛️ ‣ Find an old website. ‣ See how a familiar site changed. ‣ Recover something that's disappeared. ‣ Check what a page looked like years ago. The web has a history. Go explore it. web.archive.org #ToolsYouCanUse
Four "Tools You Can Use" Wayback Machine campaign tiles arranged in a 2x2 grid. Top left, a cream and blue tile with a folder icon reading "Wayback Machine" and "Explore more than 1 trillion web pages saved over time." Top right, a cream tile with bold black text: "Explore more than 1 trillion web pages saved over 30 years." Bottom left, a cream tile with a screenshot of the Internet Archive Wayback Machine homepage, with its search field circled in red. Bottom right, a cream tile with bold black text, "See how the web has changed over time," and a small multicolor line-art icon of the Internet Archive's columned building.

Wondering if anybody might have exhumed Timur’s body again recently
Photo of a sculpture of Timur Lenk. The text below reads: “Timur Lenk, known as Tamerlane. This sculpture was made from the Great Emir's skull by Professor M.M. Gerasimov, a pioneer in forensic reconstruction. The Soviet scientist braved the legend that if Timur's body were exhumed the worst disaster ever to befall the world would take place. Gerasimov performed the work in 1941.”

Updating the "AI" community's own words for short fiction marketing: Short stories won’t replace humans, but humans who read short stories will replace those who don’t. The true power of short stories lies not in replacing humans, but in working alongside us to achieve what neither can do alone.

Imagine if, instead of regulating drones (which we did!), we instead decided to let drone companies self-regulate, and ALSO dedicated tons of money and time to "problems" like "what if, in 1000 years, hyper-intelligent dogs learn to fly drones into mailmen." This is what we are doing with AI.
