This is hilarious. The EHRC are meeting in Glasgow now and are too scared to come outside to get lunch because a group of trans weans are protesting outside. The EHRC had to get 70 pounds worth of dominos pizza ordered instead and I know because I've literally seen the receipt myself.

#horrorwriterschat Probably one of my first longer stories that I wrote for @allisfullofgore.bsky.social ? At its core, a story about how life is kind of like being trapped in a sea of cosmic horror.

But the captain could not be swayed. He sent a modest
contingent to the bright ship. There were six in the gig
when it left, three when it returned. Of those, only one
survived the night. The surgeon noted the fragments
that were ultimately their final words:
…All this time, people –
trapped in the bilge. They have
to stay awake to keep afloat.
The water…putrid, filthy…they
heard everything...
The others, they didn’t
know…that’s what they said.
But you’re not so innocent as to
believe you can’t forget on
purpose…how could you not…
… with ichor… It oozed
between the planks…seeped up
into our shoes, my good
shoes…good shoes…
As he read the testimony of his dead crew members, the
captain’s curiosity seemed to grow proportionally to
our fear. “The ship shines too bright,” he bellowed
