This is a *fantastic* video that explains exactly WTF is going on with Taylor Farms and how tracing works TLDR: - they are responsible - the false positive was only on one of several samples - it’s difficult to test parasites - there may still be other sources - Taylor Farms is being shady AF

1/ Explosive diarrhea cases from a microscopic parasite (cyclospora) are climbing fast. This is now the largest cyclosporiasis outbreak in U.S. history, passing 4,000 cases and still rising. For context: the U.S. normally sees about 3,000-4,000 cases in a WHOLE year.

The entire Star Wars franchise is a success only because of John Williams. Without his score, the original movie(s) would have been the space camp that Lucas used as inspiration. (As in too campy—not as in Space Camp. Which is also a movie I love)

Omg. Spandex is an anagram for expands.
From Merriam-Webster: Merriam-Webster
Definition
spandex
Did you know?
Example!
• Did you know?
Spandex is a fiber that has had an impact on fashion high and low, casual and formal, outer and under. It's not a trademark, as a number of the names of other fibers are, among them Dacron, Lycra, and Orlon. It's a generic term, coined in 1959 as an anagram of the word expands. Anagrammatic coinages are not common; the only other in our dictionaries that the average person is likely to be familiar with is sideburns.
Sideburns is an anagram (and synonym) of burnsides, from Ambrose E. Burnside, a Union general in the American Civil War credited with originating the fashion (in the U.S., at least) also known as side-whiskers.

ROBOTS AND EMPIRE (1986) Acrylic - 20” x 32” My favorite scene in the book, save the ending, was the handshake. Reading the manuscript, I was struck by the understated beauty of that scene and became determined to use it for the cover art. 1/4 #art #booksky
A robot stands in front of a large circular viewport as it shakes the hand of a humanoid. The crescent shape of a planet hovers among a starry field as seen tthrough the glass behind them. The wall is structured with metal supports and curves up to the ceiling where conduit runs. Grated deck plates run the length of the floor seen in the immediate foreground.

Yet the government refuses to ban dihydrogen monoxide, an active component in both contrails and acid rain. WAKE UP, SHEEPLE!!!! IN ALL CAPS LOCK!!! dhmo.org/facts.html
What are some of the dangers associated with DHMO? Each year, Dihydrogen Monoxide is a known causative component in many thousands of deaths and is a major contributor to millions upon millions of dollars in damage to property and the environment. Some of the known perils of Dihydrogen Monoxide are:

• Death due to accidental inhalation of DHMO, even in small quantities. • Prolonged exposure to solid DHMO causes severe tissue damage. • Excessive ingestion produces a number of unpleasant though not typically life- threatening side-effects. • DHMO is a major component of acid rain. • Gaseous DHMO can cause severe burns. • Contributes to soil erosion. • Leads to corrosion and oxidation of many metals. • Contamination of electrical systems often causes short-circuits. • Exposure decreases effectiveness of automobile brakes. • Found in biopsies of pre-cancerous tumors and lesions. • Given to vicious dogs involved in recent deadly attacks. • Often associated with killer cyclones in the U.S. Midwest and elsewhere, and in hurricanes including deadly storms in Florida, New Orleans and other areas of the southeastern U.S. • Thermal variations in DHMO are a suspected contributor to the El Nino weather effect.

Catching up on days 17 and 18 of #artadventcalendar with these two #crochet cardigans I made for my daughter and myself last year… this year? I think last year. Hers is absolutely unicorn puke and acrylic for washability, and mine is merino. Same pattern. Very different results.
My daughter cocoon cardigan made in rainbow acrylic with pastel rainbow trim hanging on the back of a chair. It legit looks like a unicorn puked it up and she LOVES itMy cocoon cardigan hanging on the back of the door. It’s a deep red/wine red merino trimmed with a dark grey merino/silk blend. It’s super comfy and I wear it a lot.

Trans pride flag colors or blue, pink, white, pink, blue on a roughly flag-sized canvas in landscape orientation. Thick and thin silver lines in the neurographic style crack over the canvas like kintsugi. In the center left is a heart-shaped intersection of lines that is speckled with silver ink.

#ArtAdventCalendar Day 7 - “COVID Blanket” This was crocheted in 2020 during the height of COVID with whatever leftover yarn was in the house so there was little artistic planning or intention. This is linen or moss stitch. Making this really helped me manage my stress and keep calm at that time.
Crocheted blanket lying on a bed. The blanket is smaller than the bed and is on a gray blanket as a background. The crochet blanket is in varying blocks of 2 different purples and 2 different grays. Close up photo of a blanket crocheted in linen or moss stitch. The bottom of the photo is I. Focus and it fades to out of focus and further away at the top of the photo. The colors from bottom to top are light gray, gray, mauve, and light gray
