This part keeps rotating in my head because of my own history with conservative doublethink as a leftist - believing and saying everyone deserves good things while being afraid that the world will keep cruel tho and I HAVE TO secure my place by working 2 as hard for 0.5 a prize. and burning out lol)

Ignorance may play a part, but the distressing truth is that many conservatives truly, authentically hold conservative beliefs. They view the world as zero-sum; they consider hierarchy and unfairness to be part of the “natural order”; they believe solidarity to be a con and a trick. Someone will end up with the raw end of the deal, and they need to make sure it’s not them.

me, every waking day of my life: I wish there was a treatment for peri/menopause in cancer risk/survivor patients that was widely accepted and understood by doctors as a consensus. this article: hey the "nonbinary transfem hrt" that seemingly only endo-rabbit-hole trans ppl know abt may help!

There's also another class of drugs available, called selective estrogen-receptor modulators (SERM), that can provide hot-flash relief and symptom relief for osteoporosis (estrogen loss is linked with bone density loss) without as high a risk for blood clots or breast cancer. A SERM paired with estrogen can offer the benefits of decreased endometrial cancer risk without the risks of increased breast-cancer risk that come with the combination of estrogen and progesterone.
