Drone attack in Kyiv. We have had only 52 minutes without an air raid threat since midnight. It’s 3:37 pm here. I took my camera and went to the city centre. Because life should be lived even under such abnormal circumstances.

Monitoring channels report that Russia launched 16 missiles – 10 Onyx/Zircon and 6 Iskander-M/S-400 – at Kyiv and the region tonight. Ukraine’s Air Force says 5 were shot down. So at least some Patriot interceptors were still available.

A Kyiv city utility worker was killed this morning when a Russian drone hit a warehouse in the Solomianskyi district. Crews were working there at the time. The victim was a driver.

For 35 years, Hanna worked as a librarian at this school in Sumy. Today, she returned to see what Russia’s bomb had left of her library. A Russian glide bomb hit the school on September 29 while forty children were studying in its shelter. The school is now closed, and all classes have moved online.

Footage of the Russian VOLGA-4007 cargo ship, attacked by drones in the Black Sea after departing Novorossiysk, shows the vessel completely burned out. Anti-drone protective structures are still visible on board, but judging by the result, they did little to protect the ship.

On Sept. 30, Russian forces struck a home in Kyiv’s Sviatoshynskyi district. It belonged to Oleh, a serviceman who has been fighting since the first days of the war. His wife and mother-in-law didn't survive. In the second photo, he grips his wife’s phone, found in the ruins.

There are widespread power problems in Kyiv after the missile and jet drone attack. The Trypillia Thermal Power Plant and Kyiv CHP-5 (Combined Heat & Power) have both been hit, sustaining the first serious damage since last winter. Here, near the TPP, power lines set alight.

It's difficult to find a demarcation between night-time and daytime strikes anymore. In Kyiv region, south of the city, about half way to Vasylkiv, a drone has hit a branch of "Fora" in Ivankovychi. People are heard screaming. #RussiaIsATerroristState

Because the plane was not shot down by Ukraine, it does make it to the daily total of Russian losses. Another 1,470 souls do though - slightly under the daily average for the month. With one day left losses for September should comfortably pass 45,000
