I've been consistent since Asha Sharma took the EVP spot at #Xbox... This does not look like a sale. Instead, it looks like a serious attempt to revamp the business into something more flexible / viable / operable in the modern video game market (circa 2022 and later).

Not a huge fan of reviewers who mark a game down because it does what it does, instead of what they wanted it to do. The game can't control that you wanted a slightly different game.

I'm 30% complete Well Dweller, so I can say right now that this is my favorite game by Kyle Thompson. This could be the longest one too because I'm 9 hours in. I love this indie so much 🥹 One of my favorite things is the map and how accurately detailed it is to navigate biomes (like his past games)

Started Well Dweller on #gamepass. It's a hell yeah from me. If you're into metroidvanias you'll love it. Charming and funny, doesn't try and reinvent the wheel but still has fun mechanics, wonderful art style and general vibe. Loving it so far!

I hesitate to make too sweeping of a judgment in a world where capabilities are rapidly advancing. For now, though, I suspect that most people do not actually crave the experience of managing an intern. In particular, they do not crave the experience of dreaming up new tasks for the intern and helping the intern to improve. When I talk to the people in my life who have become managers, many will admit to having done so only under duress — and yearn for the day they no longer have to monitor others’ performance.

Perhaps someday an AI system will become so attuned to my needs that it anticipates my every desire and fulfills it perfectly without me so much as having to ask. In the meantime, Muse and its rivals too often feel like to-do lists that generate additional to-do lists, recursively until the end of time. The “typing into a box” era of AI design left much to be desired. But at least I knew when I was done with it.

Sea of Thieves has about 700% the daily players of Halo Infinite on Steam alone, but every headline is about Halo moving to Activision and zero commentary about Rare. IMO Rare moving under an existing publisher is much more interesting news than "Activision will make Halo now".

Nuking Halo Studios is one part weird but also one part over due. I don't think there's any trust in that team to ever make a good Halo 7 so moving development to another team makes sense. Activision taking over might be the blessing we need. They are a well oiled machine.
