Oh man, this is absolutely one of those “I’m so jealous that you’re getting to experience it for the first time” properties. Just straight bangers, every episode.

Me too! Coincidentally, I think we sometimes hit up the same coffee shop. Or at least used to. Can’t remember how it came up. I was probably writing a comic script or something and the barista noticed and mentioned you sometimes came in. Or used to? Anyhow, congrats on the NC->PDX journey

Very cool. Ultimately I went ‘westward ho’ to Portland, but I think about the natural beauty of western NC a lot.

A great publisher and one of the weirdest/best authors in Portland (and there’s a lot of competition here). I’ve read the advance copy and can guarantee fans or bizarro horror are gonna love this.

Like any group under a single banner, there are individuals who miss the mark or overstate a problem. But I try to extend a little grace to the folks whose “sin” is being overprotective of living things.

Weirdly my experience is usually the opposite. Lost track of how many times I’ve said that as a vegan I’d potentially eat lab grown meat, only to have the meat eaters say “ooh gross” — which does raise some questions as to what the heck is going on.

As I understand it, beekeeping on a mass production scale has definite ethical concerns for all kinds of reasons, including leg and wing clipping and forced travel, which can kill whole populations. But small “farm” beekeepers don’t do any of that and local honey tastes better anyway.

I usually have a hard time divorcing that property from its Christian propaganda messaging. But maybe I’m being overly stubborn about a talking lion movie and should give the recent one a chance.

Multiple panels at DragonCon this year about using AI, including how to use it in “writing.” This whole event is built on the back of human creativity. And you’re giving space to tech that fucking steals from all those properties, proudly kills artist jobs, and mutes creativity? That’s fucked.
