These teeny, tiny tentacles belong to the smallest cephalopod in the ocean: the pygmy squid. Living in the warm, sun-dappled waters of the Indo-Pacific, they keep to the shallows among fronds of seaweed and seagrass, attached to it with a specialised gland on their mantle.

Thanks to the Billie Eilish controversy this week we've unfortunately seen a flood of online commentary claiming that veganism is an expensive diet that only rich people can afford. We'd kinda love for that myth to die! Research has shown again and again that plant-based eating is generally cheaper.

It's #NoMowMay! Who's giving the mower a rest this year?🌼
The image presents a comparison between two types of lawns to promote #NoMowMay. On top, titled "Why have a lawn like this?" it displays a grid of uniform green squares representing a plain, regularly mowed lawn. Below, titled "When you can have a lawn like this?" the grid intersperses colourful icons of a sunflower, a pink flower, a ladybug, a frog, a bee, a butterfly, a white flower with a yellow centre, a tulip, another sunflower, a red mushroom with white spots, and additional flowers, symbolising a lively, biodiverse lawn encouraged by letting grass grow naturally during May and beyond.
