I am working on a present for my good friend who is practicing for her motor cycle exam I've lino'ed a dragon and I am trying to embroider the flames, this is a trial version and I tried out several styles before I was certain what I wanted, (see paper for plan)

An lino print of a dragon with embroidery of flames

A drawing of how I think I want the flames to be (more or less diamond shaped figures, starting at one point and increasing)

In a moment of sarcastic spite I suggested the following rule. Everyone should live in the same country where their grandparents were born. If they were born in different countries you just have to chop yourself to pieces and divide yourselves accordingly. (I would end up chopped up)

We will be having a painter in our house today. She will repair and paint the window sills in the attic. We know her from the dancing. She is nice. But husband has severe PEM and spent yesterday in bed, is sleeping right now (we even cancelled the 14y old) so I will have to do the contact stuff 🫤

A surprising twist in tick ecology: sublethal pesticide exposure increased cold tolerance and winter survival in Dermacentor variabilis, potentially enabling northward range expansion—and highlighting why physiology matters when predicting species responses to environmental change.

Catching measles does not make your immune system stronger… it does the exact opposite. It can wipe out your immunity (both natural and vaccine related) to all kinds of diseases. It’s a deadly and disabling disease that we know how to prevent. Get your vaccine. It saves lives.

I deserve ice-cream (Generally i don't think you need to deserve it, but today I really feel I do) I've been to the gynecologist to remove my mirena coil. But he couldn't. There were fibroids in the way. He will make an appointment to remove it with help of an internal camera

#GetTheFckOutside #SyncSwim Today I thought I would show you the way to my outside swim location

A path in the grass fields, sheep on the left side

Steps in a very low dike between the path and the swim lake

On the top of the stairs, a short path, the wooden platform and greenery around it. And a big dustbin

Knowing the hearts of the Doctor we all know that the character of the Doctor will reach out of the TV screen and it will fight the ai that is writing it. If the AI is trained on the lore it is very clear that is the only thing that can happen

Kratom is truly evil. It is extremely addictive and has very bad effects. Please don't try it out with the idea that it is ok because it is natural.

Discussion the 14y old: I told her that when i was het age I was so annoyed with all the people telling me to put away my books and come eat/be social/go outside. I wished for all humans to leave earth and give me the opportunity to read all the books in peace. Her response: But that is not how

The musicians have gone They were model guests, very kind, chatty but not too loud, friendly and helpful. We shared breakfast each morning and then they went into town to play the tourist. It was a good visit but now husband and I are very tired (also because of yesterday's dance)

Had a very nice dance. Two good bands. I sat mostly aside but I've done 4 dances, 2 group dances, 1 with Peter and 1 with the 14y old. The latter two we danced without hands, because the normal dance grip (?) hurts me. So we danced separate but together. It was fun
