i will not vote for any democrat that encourages throwing the trans community under the bus, i dont care who the opponent is i will not participate in an election where the choice is between two candidates that will attack marginalized communities to reach their personal political aspirations

Try to imagine a Republican Party with a dozen or so staunch abortion advocates. A dozen pro-choice Republicans wrecking every shot at eroding women's autonomy, ruining every anti-choice vote. Can't picture it, can you? Yet we have to accept this kind of Democratic Party, for some reason.

Writing something action heavy and getting active verb fatigue. I worry that picking out the exact right verb everytime is a little like using "gasped" when I should have stuck with "said." Tough to use well, but Robert E. Howard's use of adverbs to make simple verbs sing is inspiring.

The criminalization of sleep is part of a process Mike Davis called "the late-capitalist triage of humanity." The Supreme Court has taken another step in formalizing a permanent underclass. We will not be solving urban poverty, they say, we will be kettling it.
Passage from Mike Davis' book, Planet of Slums: "The late-capitalist triage of humanity, then, has already taken place. As Jan Breman, writing of India, has warned: 'A point of no return is reached when a reserve army waiting to be incorporated into the labour process becomes stigmatized as a permanently redundant mass, an excessive burden that cannot be included now or in the future, in economy and society. This metamorphosis is, in my opinion at least, the real crisis of world capitalism."
