Haven’t tried recently. The last message from X advised me to wait a week before contacting them again. Corporate evil.

I received a DM that I was sure was legit. It came from a well-known Canadian CC MD who asked me to click on a link. In retrospect, the reason "she" asked me to click was suspect, but I was so sure the message actually came from the real person that I did click.

Glad you noticed & reached out. It was v. Stressful. As you know, I’m back up & running there w/ an account that I set up a few yrs ago but rarely used. Now @CassandainCan is the best place to reach me. The lesson is to NEVER click on a link in a DM, even if it comes from someone you trust 100%.

Same experience. I think they actually want us off the platform. I'm starting over from zero with a new page & it's a nightmare. I can't reach the ppl I was closest to & the few for whom I've been able to leave a message won't respond. They must think I'm the hacker.

@davidjoffe64.bsky.social I sadly think it's impossible to recover our hacked accounts. I've reverted to an old account I hadn't used in many yrs (@CassandrainCan) & am starting over. The CC community is understandbly v. distrustful, so I can't even contact most of my followers. It's a mess.

We no doubt clicked on the link sent from the hacked account of a terrific CC MD. W/ the help of ppl more tech savvy than I, I'm trying to recover my account. Tw is doing all in its power to stop me from doing so. Will let you know in a few days whether I've succeeded or not.

Long COVID patients are constantly harangued about our requests for COVID safety. Yet what we're asking for is far less than what we're called on to do to survive.

Remember this as public health authorities keep coming out with more excuses to discard responsibility for their mismanagement of COVID, end vaccination, etc. They *love* the idea of COVID becoming endemic and #longCOVID being unpreventable, because 👉they can pretend there's nothing they could do.👈

"Evidence Based Medicine" as currently practiced puts far too much trust in non-expert opinion, oversells its own objectivity, overestimates its ability to find errors and bias, and overvalues its own past products. The only thing more dangerous than EBM's GIGO problem is EBM's coprophagy problem.

After federal troops forced a fugitive slave named Anthony Burns back into slavery in the 1850s, one Bostonian wrote, “we went to bed one night old-fashioned, conservative, Compromise Union Whigs and waked up stark mad Abolitionists.” The abuse of power radicalizes people. We are seeing that now.
