Learnt the hard way that pushing through leads to extended migraine that is harder to treat – pain pathways in the brain they become overly sensitised. In conclusion: "Green belts" of hay, grain, & ruminants roaming around urban cores are not "farmland conservation." They are an affront to God. And nature. And an insult to 10,000 years of history, where our ancestors successfully navigated all of this. As multiple cities & empires rose and fell.

Until we invented modern farm policy designed to "save" farms. Now, we proudly "conserve" big ol corn, soy, cotton, & hay fields next to neighborhoods. Where greenhouses growing produce would make way more sense. And then we complain that produce "only comes from giant farms far away."

We would live in a much different world if everyone (who was able to physically) were conscripted into farm work for a year. I often have conversations with people about food pricing, and it's hard to get some of the important context across without people having actually done farm work themselves.
