Just a reminder this statement was said by a sitting Congressman to the public, Trump and his DOJ offered not one pushback, denial or lawsuit.. it’s still just sitting out there

And just as the corporate media continues to ignore Trump's threats to them, they'll continue to ignore Musk's threats to them too. They'll happily stay on his website and write gullible pieces about his latest promises. When you're a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.

It's wild to me how many people do not understand this. "Luxury housing" is not some ontologically separate category from the rest of the housing market. Nor is "affordable housing." It's all one big fluid market & when you build more, everyone moves up & frees up the bottom end.

got a longish post up about who ended Platner's campaign and why it's important to say so. the people who ended Platner's campaign were survivors of his abuse and journalists. and we should be grateful to them for that. www.everythingishorrible.net/p/survivors-...

politico and nyt did good work in bringing these stories to light while there's still time for Ds to do something about it. I know people are going to attack them, but they're doing their job. D party should have done its job a while ago. there's still time, barely.

Running for US Senate with a Nazi tattoo and just hoping nobody would bring it up is staggeringly awful judgement. Disqualifying. At best a cravenly cynical attempt to use it to gain attention. At worst, lying about (potentially still) being a Nazi. I don't get it.

As a former public defender who represented thousands of people, I can’t stop thinking about the contrast the Epstein files raise. I watched 1000s face swift, devastating punishment for far less serious conduct — poor, marginalized, & presumed dangerous from the start.

I don't think you understand the purpose of naming those 3 politicians. The reason being the chaos they caused by not being true to what they seemed to represent. Here we have reason enough to doubt the sincerity of a candidate, a viable alternative, and seemingly no consequence for rejecting him.

And we risk giving 1 of 50 or 51 votes necessary to pass any legislation to an actual Nazi? For what reason? To what benefit? Ask yourself if an actual Nazi would not lie about everything that Platner has lied about and then ask yourself if it's worth the risk over the alternative. Which is Mills.

Because, as Noah said, that's not how the Senate works. This is the Democratic primary. Small d democrats should absolutely be raising hell that's the entire point of primaries.

We've recently lived through Fetterman, Sinema, and the NC State Senator switching parties to give Republicans a veto-proof super-majority. I'd rather not risk a Senate majority on the idea that Naz-tattoo-guy is totally telling the truth this time

You cannot reform this. Burn ICE to the ground, piss on the ashes, and salt the earth. Then build a professional agency with standards and accountability to accomplish the critical mission they were supposed to be doing.

I think the thing that enrages me the most about Musk is that he presents himself as some sci-fi nerd hero doing everything possible to save humanity by going to new planets. If your plan for saving humanity doesn’t include the people already on earth, you’re just a racist piece of shit.

- projecting that global aid cuts could lead to at least 9.4 million additional deaths by 2030, if the current funding trend continues. About 2.5 million of those deaths are projected to be children under the age of 5.
