F35s are fine, we will end up with 30-40 of them and they have a strategic role due to stealth, but we need 80+ Gripens which also have a huge role to play. I would put a Gripen up against anything the Russians can field rn, and our 6th gen fighter needs to not be American sourced.

Gripens for Canada. A rethink on US supplied weapons systems for the River class (ie go back to the same systems the UK and Australians are using). SAMP/T NG over Patriots. Join the MDBA missle ecosystem. Etc etc etc.

That said, small town Halifax controlled access by having a chain with a padlock and a few of the business had a copy of the key. Worked great. Lawyers went bonkers about the liability. Big city Halifax has no clue how to cost effectively deal with it. Made me sad.
