Hi @glovestudios.bsky.social! Sorry to bother you, I'm hoping you can solve a teeny mystery for @tfwiki.net. In 2009's AHM #14, you gave Scourge a new body which looks like his Generations toy... which came out in 2011! Did you see it early, or did they base it on your design? Thanks for your time!

thinking about G1 reissues again. Which molds are still viable? Are the old Collector's Edition/Encore ones no good now? Definitely feels like the Retro line could've got a few more worthy releases out. A cartoon-accurate Blitzwing/Astrotrain 2-pack! Devastator with visor! Bumblebee! Frenzy/Rumble!

transformers characters/toys I REALLY want new generations updates of. Not because I'll buy them but because it'll flood the market with the old ones: - Unicron (Platinum Edition) - Metroplex (T30) - Lockdown (ROTF) - Thunderwing (Generations)

In the afterglow of TFNation's celebration of creativity and artistry, lemme show you a fan-project I've been failing to get anywhere with for a couple of years: a year-by-year, month-by-month guide to Transformers history. I had the idea a few years ago in the run-up to the 40th anniversary--

gotta say that part towards the end of Not All Megatrons, an otherwise fairly level-headed multi-POV story, where it switches into Bisk's gamer POV and stays there for like three sections straight basically to the end of the story, is pure literature

sometimes I think about what an absolutely insane method of distributing the Official Transformers Fanfiction a bunch of A4 PDFs was. Why did that happen? Was it to get away from the Fanfiction associations of text-on-a-webpage, closer to the magazine-like format of Real Media?

rewatched The Weak Component and I gotta say, for a stock plot about one of the heroes deciding to be a villain for a day, it's actually quite well-done? Usually that plot relies on everyone behaving wildly out of character, but instead it's well situated in terms of where the Maximals are at

think it's time to admit that I just don't find Un- sets funny. When I was a teen there were a lot of things like Un- sets, American productions in geek spaces, that I sort of deluded myself into thinking I found funny, but which now in retrospect I realise I didn't. I like "Ach, Hans, Run!" I guess

it's always so sad when a typal Commander deck ends up running a lot of Changelings and "when this enters, choose a creature type" cards. I feel like there's been a big effort to print Legendary Creatures that support these lists but without several expansions' worth of one type it's not enough
