More specifically, I've seen a lot of people being like "Megatron getting the Matrix at the end confuses the themes", but I'm pretty confident that the intent of the short is that Optimus was *wrong* to walk away, and Megatron getting the Matrix is there to affirm that!

Between toy leakers suggesting next year's line is subtitled "Megatron Rising", an ad suggesting there's some big mysterious followup to the TFTM re-release next year, and some of the stuff the director has said, I'm confident that this was written as the *start* of a story, not a complete work.

Transformers star Peter Cullen got his start as a Canadian mimic. He was the resident impressionist on the CBC radio show Funny You Should Say That (later known as Comedy Crackers and Zut). It was the precursor to the Royal Canadian Air Farce, both created by John Morgan and Martin Bronstein.

A time when cartoon directors straight up went out and told their adult fans "hey, our target audience is children, set your expectations accordingly" lmao

Beast wars

DiTillio — May 4, 1996

Dear Transformers fans:

I have read with interest all your praises and brickbats on the pilot episodes of beast wars. Thanks.

I'd like to make one point clear - The target audience of the show is children from, about 5 to 10 years of age. As much as we like all you older fans to watch and hopefully like what we do, you aren't the target audience. So to refer back to years of continuity from the old show and the comic books for an audience that very likely has NO notion of that continuity would be a disservice to them.

Woke up to the news of Peter Cullen's passing. Utterly devastating. Spent about 45 minutes bawling my eyes out, half in disbelief. To many of us, myself included, fictional characters act as the parental figures we never had. Optimus Prime was one of those for me. Hearing this

often I think back to Botcon 2004, and how Peter Cullen's panel received such ovation that he was moved to tears, in part because it was recognition for a role that had at the time been so far behind him feeling so fortunate to have seen him back then, because I also got to see him afterwards

“Be Strong enough to be gentle.” Peter Cullen tells the story of how his brother inspired the voice he would use to play Optimus Prime. It’s a simple yet poignant quote that sums up why Optimus and Peter are so beloved. Til All Are One. 💔

I cannot stand when people on YouTube(or social media in general) discuss topics that are serious but try to get around demonetization by using goofy baby words/replacements. This annoys me a lot in horror movie discussions, true crime videos, or news topics that you shouldn't be babifying.

Praise for End of the Galactic Conquerors by none other than John Barber! Writer of SIGNA, and IDW Transformers stories including: Robots in Disguise, Optimus Prime, and Unicron.

"Emily Stewart deftly walks the line between industry satire and personal revelation as classic ’80s icon Arthur Great-Star (don’t pretend like you don’t remember him!) starts to suspect something may be...odd about his existence. Goofy yet incisive meta-commentary on our attachment to childhood favorites weaves
in and out of the very human question: is this what my life is supposed to be?" - John Barber, (SIGNA, Transformers (IDW): Robots in Disguise, Optimus Prime, Unicron)
