REMAKING THE ROOTS! At the turn of the century (ugh), Diaclone became the place to snare "new" decos for reissue G1-mold exclusives. And most of these now have modern-toy versions! New pics at @tfwiki.net! DEEP COVER is based on a Powered Convoy multi-pack-exclusive deco of the Countach mold. 🧵

The 2021 Generations Selects / Earthrise version of DEEP COVER, a black pseudo-Lamborghini-Countach with blue and white robot mode detailing. He has gold "police" badges.

The 2003 Collector's Edition Deep Cover, a remake of the original 1983 Countach toy that would become G1 Sideswipe. The black & blue deco was exclusive to a multi-pack with the Powered Convoy (Ultra Magnus in deep blue, silver, and red) and a red F1 racer (Mirage). The gold police badges are there to replace the unlicensed Lamborghini badges on the original Diaclone release.
