the story that the right wanted to tell here is about DEI run amok - institutions so obsessed with diversity that they embraced an obvious fraud. that story gets it backwards. to Cambridge et al Arday was a PR stunt. they hired him as a symbol, meant to shield them from criticism.

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I crowdsourced and then finalized this document "How to disable or avoid intrusive AI" and then gave it a short URL: notoai.org Please pass along if it's useful

Having just finished reading the Testaments, I'm giving the show a go. Great production value and performances, but I admit I'm skeptical of a lot of the choices. Would the clothes for women be that form fitting? I really think it would be more of a Duggar situation, at Gileads's most liberal.

Just had Canvas stop working as I was typing comments on a student paper. I now can’t access anyone’s work or grades. Strangely, this never happened back when I used a grade book and had students email me their papers, a system no shareholders extracted money from.
