Where the Twin Suns rise in the early morn
And the Wormflies warm their wings

Where the billows blow west off the Bluegrue Sea
And the Seagila solemnly sings

Where the clouds are cream and coral-red
And the Diamond Bugs dance with delight

There lives a most lovely and colorful beast
Known as the Rainbow Mite

One day, the mite walked through a wood
And came upon by chance

A worm all wrapped up tight with vine
And tangled in a branch

So Mite did what she thought was best
For a caring soul had she

She bit the vines which ‘snared the worm
And pried the creature free

“I’m free! I’m free! I can go home!”
Worm said with a joyous cry

She gave her thanks to Rainbow Mite
And took off toward the sky

In the days after this, all things were well
And Mite ran with her friends from hilltop to dell

When suddenly Mite awoke with a start
To a great tumultuous sound

The creatures roared and cried with fear
As they ran and flew all ‘round

“Why do you flee?” Cried Rainbow Mite
Said a Wingfish: “A Great Sky-Eel

Comes down from its lofty home in clouds
To make someone its meal!”

Mite gathered up the Diamond Bugs
And took off down the plain

To put ‘tween they and the Great Sky-Eel
What distance she could gain

Alas! Although Mite ran and ran
She caught upon a root

Text with a few simple black and white drawings

And tumbled just in time to see
the Sky-Eel in pursuit!

Though she was small, the mite stood firm;
She turned her body ‘round,

To see for herself this terrible beast,
And face it from the ground

The monster set its eyes on Mite
As it began to drop

Towards her with its maw agape
A voice cried out: “Oh! Stop!”

The little worm from that fateful day
Flew down to Rainbow Mite

“You musn’t eat this beast, Mama,
Who saved me from my plight!”

And Rainbow Mite realized:

(Wasn’t a worm, that beast snared in the balm:
That was an elver, and this is her mom!)

“Is that so? Oh, thank you Mite!”
Eel said, now sweet and mild

“I’ll never lay a scale upon
The one who saved my child!”

So Elver and Eel and Mite became friends
And within the Sky-Eel’s sight

The Elver and Mite and Bugs did play
‘til the Twin Suns set that night

Thanks to everyone surfacing this in my skyline I went in and looked for the setting, couldn't find it, reloaded Libby and there it was! Glad to be able to turn this off, even if publishers and authors are maybe being dishonest little shits about it. It's better than nothing.

Just had a lovely 2p co-op play of PONDUS with my wife. (First time she's played the 'real deal'). She won the orb! Good run through, nice to have another practice teach. Nice to get feedback from someone who doesn't play games often. She crushed it. We had a blast. Can't wait for folks to play it!

Saw a lot of great art today but my favourite piece was by Gabriel de la Mora where the artist films himself beating an effigy of himself, the effigy sprays red paint but its guts are made of wires and machinery. It was both violent and cathartic. Feels like it speaks to the present moment.
