Hello late night bluesky. I wrapped up tonight by trying to play Mythwind. (3rd play) I did not finish playing through the session and packed it up after round 3. I want to like this game so so much. I got it for research for a village building game I'm cooking. It does a lot of clever things.

The day is nearly upon us! Just did the final print test for the release of my Print-and-Play board game called Crabage! Wanted to thank @hinokodo.com for their work on making the 'Human Made' logo! It looks so spiffy in printed out! Just gotta send it to a couple of friends to catch any errors!

WipEout was released 31 years ago. Since the game is set in 2052, we're already more than halfway there. 😁 A technical gem, this Psygnosis game made a huge splash on the PS1 (and other platforms). Especially with its electro soundtrack and in-game branding & artworks by The Designers Republic.

Doing a bit of Glitch research tonight by playing Lorcana: Palace Heist, their 1-4p co-op mode. This is such a huge step up from Ursula (a usable box??? Real cardboard tokens??? Deck boxes??) great product. Good fun and use for lorcana cards I don't play with. Good example of solo in the TCG space.

I picked up a Gameboy in 95'. I still remember Christmas of 99'. I was 7, and Pikachu could follow you around. The graphic upgrade from gen 1 to 2 was mind blowing! The time changes??? Sailing around the islands in windwaker was so peaceful. I miss it.

500 wood minis. Is that too many? @mimicpublishing.com is not a plastic minis kinda company. But there's a tactical element to Glitch. Over time, we would create 500 wood minis, one per Ghost, across the 10 entries in the series. Seems like a lot.

Got to play the excellent Railways of the Lost Atlas today! (3p) Long game! (6hours! 😅) I tried to go big with a company that could buy an infinite train and that backfired. Lost by $1000. Haha! The expansion is quite fun, variety of the new landmarks and events are very welcomed. Cool game! #18xx

I played Harvest by Keymaster Games last night. Me and Mitch won our challenge thanks to our pie collection. What a remarkable game. So clean. 10/10. Looking to add a solo mode to your game? Harvest will teach you the way. No flowcharts or resources. Flip 2 tokens and go. Peak solo design. ⭐⭐⭐

Solo mode is as simple as flipping 2 tiles and filling in those spaces.

In 2012 I was a film school dropout on the verge of homelessness working as a kids train conductor in a mall. Today I'm married and make games. So I'd say 20yr old me would be syked to hear I'm not dead yet I think lol. And disappointed I'm not Denis Villeneuve somehow.

Excited for this copy to come in. Got the #boardgame On Mars to the table last night actually. It's very hard to terraform mars alone lol. I got crushed. But such a beautiful game, fantastic head space. You get a buzz just from playing. Wild experience, everyone should try it.

This was a great thread of games. I like this idea alot. So here's my top 10 most played games. I mostly play solo, (this will come as no surprise i think when you see the list) I only started recording plays late circa 23'. I think MTG has everything beat by 1000. (but i don't play it anymore)

3p Lisboa was fun! I did a terrible teach, but we got through it & had a great time rebuilding Lisbon! Fantastic how something as simple as "pick a card, play a card, draw a card" becomes... Quite the decision tree of options! Lol. A genius among us, Lacerda is top class. Gotta play it again soon!

Playing each game in the collection at least 1 this year. Next up: Mistborn the deckbuilding game. I like it alot. Good puzzle headspace, simple enemy ai, finished in about an hour. Slowly working my way through the difficulties. Lot of good ideas in this one. Haven't played it multiplayer yet.

Happy Saturday to those who celebrate. I finally got mythwind to the table. Idk why but it was intimidating to pull out. But turns out, game is pretty approachable. It's quite chill actually. Idk why the farmer looks like he buried his enemies. Feels out of place. Lol. Liking it so far!
