I arrived early yesterday morning, hoping for a clear view of Mount Rainier while Tipsoo Lake was still calm. I was not disappointed. Seeing the alpenglow on Mount Rainier reflected in the lake was absolutely beautiful. I felt peaceful, excited, and incredibly lucky to witness it. #PNWPhotography

Mount Rainier glows warm orange and pink at sunrise beyond a dark line of evergreen trees at Tipsoo Lake near Chinook Pass. The mountain and trees reflect across the calm water, while grasses and small wildflowers fill the foreground.
