The Sphinx of Black Quartz from Creatures & Curios is possibly my nerdiest D&D creation... for a very specific flavour of nerd 🖤🔠

Wondrous item, very rare
This small figurine of a sphinx made from black quartz emanates a judgmental aura. You and up to four other willing creatures can touch the sphinx at the same time, each stating a solemn vow that binds you all until death. If a creature bound in this way willingly breaks its vow, it instantly takes 10d10 psychic damage as long as it is on the same plane of existence as the figurine. Additionally, all creatures who vowed on the sphinx at the same time as the target instantly become aware that the creature has broken its vow.
Once the figurine has been used to witness a vow, it can’t be used again until the following dawn.

We were also affected by this auto opt-in feature. Several of our PDFs had AI-generated alt text placed on images without us knowing, and a kind HPP community member informed us of the issue. The PDFs have since been amended. We are firmly against the use of generative AI in our work.
