I think this could be as bad as MS losing RE4 for the original Xbox in terms of ball-dropping. Not in terms of potential success, but... there are only so many Japanese third-party devs that can sell platforms and history shows once they're spurned, they tend not to have your back when you need it.

2. Like I said re: Bluepoint, Sony is facing a DRY release calendar for the rest of the decade due to its live service fuckups. They're short on games internally as it is. I will say I've seen the follow-up reporting and still stand by what I said. I always figured it was cold business calculus that led Sony to drop it, but: 1. they should've known who they were dealing with and planned accordingly. Budgets and deadlines matter, but Kojima's dev style is well-known.
