It’s #MysteryMonday! 🔎 Today we are celebrating the anniversary of the opening of the first section of the Regent's Canal on 12 August 1816! But did you know that this canal's construction actually forced a legendary London sports venue to pack up and move? (1/2)
A narrowboat travels along Regent’s Canal towards the dark entrance of Maida Hill Tunnel. One person stands at the stern steering the boat, which is decorated with flower planters. Above the tunnel, a light blue metal footbridge with graffiti crosses the canal, while a steep staircase climbs the towpath on the right. Trees and dense greenery surround the scene, with calm water reflecting the boat and bridge.
