I ran out Claude Max 20x and burned through an extra $140 CAD in less than 2 hours. Three days from my reset (July 2) with many hours of work left, I decided to try GLM 5.2 for z.ai. What I didn't realize it can be a DROP IN REPLACEMENT into Claude Code. Agent fan out, dynamic workflows- all work!

I deleted my business Microsoft account today. It took hours of insanity and deleting things one at a time. Things we never asked for. We only used MS Office! One-click direct delete should be a law. Anyway- on to LibreOffice!

After France, Denmark is moving too: its Digitalisation Ministry plans to phase out Microsoft, switching to Linux and LibreOffice in the coming months. The goal is clear—reduce dependence on a handful of global tech giants and strengthen digital sovereignty.

let's not forget that texas outlawed the teaching of critical thinking in 2012 🤬 Texas GOP rejects ‘critical thinking’ skills. Really. archive.ph/I0YXn (free wapo article) horrendous shit which explains why so many young voters from tx were dumbed down enough to vote for his dumb ass
In the you-can’t-make-up-this-stuff department, here’s what the Republican Party of Texas wrote into its 2012 platform as part of the section on education:

Knowledge-Based Education – We oppose the teaching of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) (values clarification), critical thinking skills and similar programs that are simply a relabeling of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) (mastery learning) which focus on behavior modification and have the purpose of challenging the student’s fixed beliefs and undermining parental authority.

Yes, you read that right. The party opposes the teaching of “higher order thinking skills” because it believes the purpose is to challenge a student’s “fixed beliefs” and undermine “parental authority.”
It opposes, among other things, early childhood education, sex education, and multicultural education, but supports ...

All Filton 24 activists have now been acquitted of aggravated burglary. This government has done everything it can to demonise the Palestine movement. It has failed. History will be kind to those who tried to stop the genocide. It will condemn those who aided and abetted it.

If you want to resist, install GrapheneOS and adopt a zero telemetry tech stack. This is happening because we trade our data for convenience, and then they digitally capture and hurt our kids. We are selling out our kids for convenience. And marginal low value convenience at that. This is insane.

Nick Van Weerdenburg @vanweerd.bsky.social · 22/02/2026
This needs to be a moral foundation for consuming tech if we want to create a world that is good for our children. One month is a start, but why would anyone fund evil? It’s fundamentally not acceptable- especially for marginal convenience. Selling out your grandkids future for effectively nothing.

Also relentless creating demand for good and starving evil is a base moral responsibility. Finally please add Visa and Mastercard and any company that blocks getting decent payment rail infrastructure. That’s a trillion dollar grift.

And it’s worth it additionally for the beauty of GrapheneOS and shutting or controlling all telemetry is a rush and gratification that is worth it. When you sit down and realize those @&$&@!?’s aren’t getting your data- what a glorious feeling.

A tweet from Carina (@Carina_Amyth) reads:
“Megyn’s lawn sign. 🤷‍♀️”
Below is an image of a blue political-style yard sign with red and white borders. It says in bold white text:
“at least she wasn’t 8”
Underneath, smaller text reads:
“MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! 2026”
The sign stands on a grassy lawn with trees blurred in the background.

We keep hearing about “difficult choices” to justify spending cuts. Real difficult choices are between heating and eating, paying your rent or your bills. The government can make another choice, and it’s not difficult: tax the super-rich.

Considering 98% of memetic hosts don’t know the word, can we just conclude Dawkins described, rather than created, the phenomenon. Wanting vs having propagation, as well as survivorship bias sort of make the selfish phrase sensationalist. I prefer the autonomous rather than assuming intent.

The Trump regime thought the judiciary couldn’t keep pace, but they were wrong. Judges have been steadily building cases, blocking escape routes, and pushing back against the administration’s misconduct. The result? A series of court defeats that the White House can’t just sweep under the rug.
