I've been going through an extremely rough 2 years of my life and the WNBA had been a good way to help get through them. I believe flatpaks also have more restrictive permissions/security sometimes. I know for Steam its recommended you avoid the flatpak version because of that.

Main downside is you'll be using more storage. App images and flatpaks are both bundled/tied with their dependencies. With app images if two programs need to use python 3.16 then they'll each have their own copy. With flatpaks the package manager will use a shared copy if it's the same version.
