Whether or not an rpg is grindy is largely separate from REs. Most "grindy" rpgs have been beaten at low levels, so REs don't fully do what this meme claims. Those games need better tutorialization about the skills/abilities that llgs depend on. Earthbound did REs better for all types of players.

Seems like many people believe that anything that has a purpose can't be art. Art, to way too many people, is only stuff without use.
