Over the ten years, Premier Smith claims Alberta faced a hostile federal government, oil and gas production doubled, and Ottawa poured tens of billions into energy infrastructure. The tolerance of her big lie is almost as remarkable as the lie itself. ow.ly/Fl7950ZRRaq

"The provincial UCP government has ruined healthcare, underfunded public education, shamelessly promoted rapid population growth without building the hospitals or classrooms to handle it." Now they want to scapegoat immigrants for all of it. #ableg #abpoli #cdnpoli
Graphic titled “IMMIGRANTS ARE PART OF THE SOLUTION” with the subtitle “THE FACTS.” Four factual statements appear above an illustration of a row of sharpened wooden pencils. The first states that immigrants make up 23% of Canada’s construction workforce, including 20% of roofers and 16% of electricians. The second states that immigrants make up 25% of registered nurses and 37% of physicians across Canada, while Alberta ranks last among the 10 provinces in per-student education funding. The third states that 90% of immigrants file income taxes in their first year and contribute to provincial revenues from day one. The fourth states that recent immigrants contribute more than $5 billion every year in Alberta taxes, noting that they already contribute to the services they use.
